Naruto on Toonami...

What are your opinions on Naruto on Toonami?

Personally, I AM OUTRAGED! They changed the theme song! i mean WTF!? N wth is wrong with their pronunciations!? They can't even say Hokage or even Genin rit!! Aarrgghh!!!

And just because I like answering questions, Here's my opinion of the dub, and some fun things I've heard:

-The beginning/closing songs were replaced because of the japanese network that originally aired naruto - they sold the rights to naruto but didn't want to sell those songs-

Voices:

Naruto: (Maile Flannegan): Not bad at all, she's getting better at voicing him right. Only annoying thing is the way he repeats the same phrase (believe it!) incessantly. Had some doubts at first, but she's shaping up.

Sasuke: (Yuri Lowenthal): Perfect. He sounds a little younger, which I think is appropriate - he sounded too old in the japanese version.

Sakura: (Kate Higgins): A little too whiny, but all the same fairly good at characterizing sakura herself (especially when she's talking to Inner Sakura).

Kakashi: (Dave Wittenberg): Fairly good - he's a little more teacherly and restrictive than the "I don't care at all, kids" Kakashi I'm used to, but it's not necessarily a bad change. Almost refreshing.

Iruka: (Quinton Flynn): doesn't fit perfectly, but works decently. Not outstanding, but not intolerable, either.

Shikamaru: (Tom Gibis): Great. He's just a little less "meh" than shikamaru in the japanese version, and a little more outwardly insightful.

When it comes to pronunciations, they're difficult to do - I'd not be surprised if both you and I pronounced them wrong without knowing it.

Naruto's voice being sucky...agreed. Sasuke's voice being good...also agreed.
Ok, i admit tht if i just saw the word 'GENIN' i would get it wrong...but not 'HOKAGE'...it practically speaks for itself.

Sorry but the Mods had a rough time telling people about these "Repeated" threads for some time, and no one ever listens to mods, so if you see any "Repeated" Threads, Just tell them to stop with them ok?

...And come *on*. giving 3/10, 2/10 and 3/10 because *they kept in most of the stuff and did a good job of translating*? They barely edited anything either, and kept in the fight music, so you give them a 2/10 for that? I think the dub deserves at least a 7 or 8 for their music (only reason they couldn't keep the theme song was because of the japanese company that aired naruto in japan), and the voices match *very* well, especially when you consider some other dubs out there.

the beginning songs weren't replaced actually they were all of them combined......i dunno where they go the idea but i find it actually really dumb!

Gah I hate Naruto being in Toonami. If they would want to show it on CN, they should just put it on Adult Swim, but yeah they want to make it popular and all. Well, it's annoying! Now, my classmates keeps on talking about it at school (I wanna be the ONLY official otaku there!). I liked the manga better than the anime in CN. But I like the DVD better than the manga^^ I'd give Toonami a 5/10.
