what do you think of Hayate?

I think he is quite mysterious. Cause he only appear for a while in the story, and he was sick? how he got sick? then when he die, he has a girlfriend, I think. (when Orochimaru attack the village and he killed the third).

It would be interesting to see if that ever resurfaces again, which I highly doubt. It could just have been part of his character design (The druggie eyes) and his personality, coughing all the time.

I really liked him too.

I don't know. The baggy eyes and chronic cough is all part of his health problems. Poor guy, I miss him. Genma replaced him, though. That was interesting.

Genma looks like a hippie with drug problems, and he's always chewing on grass. I'm starting to see a pattern here. Konoha's high ranking officials are all drug addicts.

Get serious, Slash. I know Genma wears his forehead protector backwards and everything, and the fact that he chews on grass, but he's not a hippie! And he doesn't look like a drug addict of all things. But he does look a tad strange, I'll give you that.

Ok, so maybe he's normal. But it would be smart to never rule out existing possibilities. One being: He's a drug addict.

Watermage, I eat my AA siblings because they are a nutrious part of my diet and aren't high in cholesterol.
