re: wat is the difference between TV or the OVA
Tv is well, Anime on TV but OVA stands for Original Video Anamation so correct me if I'm, but that means it went to dvds first.

Pretty much the case. An OVA (aka OAV--Originally Animated for Video) is a direct-to-video release. It didn't go to television or the theater.

OAVs are usually made with a higher budget, leading to better animation. Also, an OAV doens't have to worry about TV censors, and can have more cursing, blood, suggestive language, etc. (anything that TV usually doesn't allow)
