learn a new language

It's not nearly as complex as English, but as usual we find ways to screw it up.

I'd really like to learn korean.. XD I think it seems to be a cool language, but I saw on Wikipedia and it also seems to be complex! x__x
And I don't think I'd find somebody who teaches korean on my town...
Well, I'll learn german, italian, french, chinese and finish spanish in a few years... XD And I can try to learn more languages too.. ^^
All I need is finish high school first! [-o<

You'll do it! High school's no sweat.

I get so gung-ho about languages and then when I start up a new one I forget how hard it is to really get good at it. It's especially difficult not having easy access to materials in the language, or someone else who speaks it...

I would LOVE to learn Korean. If you learn, you teach me, okay? LOL. I can start you off on Chinese, so long as it's Mandarin, not Cantonese. I want to get back to doing Arabic too... I don't know why I'm compelled to pick ones that don't use Latin-based alphabets... ;_;

But I got a bunch of German books now! I can start a new descent into madness.

I'm only fluent in English and Japanese. Although I took six years of Spanish, I've forgotten most of it. If I brushed up, I could do all right. Intermediate, maybe.

Everything else I'm a beginner in. A few years back I wanted to start a new language but literally lost my mind trying to figure out what I wanted to do. I thought I'd do Hungarian because my grandmother is from Hungary. But then I thought I'd rather do Mandarin instead. The tones in Chinese made me cry, so I moved on to Swahili and then Arabic. And now I'm onto German. I just don't seem to have any dedication anymore. XD But I can spout off THE most random words in all the languages I listed.

What else can you speak, Hakaro? You've got at least three under your belt, right?

Well, I'm only fluent in portuguese. But I'm studying English and Japanese.
And when I was on the 6th grade, we had Spanish at school, I studied it for one year and I moved to another school, but I can understand it perfectly.
Last year I studied for a few months German.
And if I see something written in French or Italian, I can understand what is, but I don't know how to read.
I think that's it all I know.. XD
