Well, assuming that Ace has not improved much since the Arabasta arc, I'd say Luffy. He can now utilize the Gear 2 and 3(?) techniques, so he'd probably be much stronger than Ace.

I won't get into any detail, so as to not spoil it for you, but Gear two and three are basically techniques that make Luffy really fast and really strong.

I don't watch the 4kids version, it's badly dubed and overedited, so I don't really like that version. I read the scanlations, and I watch the subtitled episodes.

Go to that site, and type in the search bar "One Piece Episode ___", and fill the blank with the episode you want to see. Though, I wouldn't follow a 4kids episode guide, because they skipped about 37 episodes, so, I'd just start from episode one. It's a good idea, trust me, it'll open your eyes to everything you had been missing.

You can read chapters 1- 291 on that site. And when you get done with those, there is another site that has 292+.

It takes a good while to read through the manga chapters, depending on how much you read, you could get done with reading those in about a month or so. But when you do get done, you can hit me up on YIM for chapter 292+. And I'll also answer any questions you might have about One Piece.

I'd have to go for Luffy. True, Ace is pretty strong and talented with his pwer but Luffy improves at a faster rate.

Right now in the manga, Ace would win. Give Luffy about 6 months of training and he might be able to beat Ace though. Remember that we haven't seen Ace's full power.

Luffy can't hurt Ace. Why? Because Ace can become an intangible object. Unless Luffy uses a gear to blow out the flames. But wait! Luffy has a thing for beating Logia users. So...

Ace was fighting Blackbeard for quite a bit before Blackbeard finally knocked him out. If Rob Lucci could hurt Luffy with his punches, then Blackbeard could probably crush Luffy's skull in.

With Devil Fruit Powers, Ace has his Solar Emperor attack, which rivals Enel's destructive power.

Actually... I really do think that if they really fought, truely, then they would KILLL eachother. Ace is just that strong and so is Luffy! It's really confusing.
