My Moderator Application: Rikoku

The reason why I am applying for the moderator position is because, i feel like i could tidy up some of the threads. this may sound like a clichéd excuse, but, with being here for nearly 2 years, i have come to learn the difference between an official post and mindless spam, what is considered flame, and when spoilers are needed. I have shown in the past my maturity. but, along side that, my short tempered-ness (especially when it comes to un-marked spoilers)

I guess this is my main reason for becoming a moderator, to make sure flame and spoilers get put under wraps in areas where they are most crucial (Manga, Movie/TV, Anime, and Music.) Another reason for my app is because, i am on at times when it appears there are no other moderators are (usually from 9AM British time) so, i think my appearence at this time would be ideal for a clean up of the threads. Also, i will listen to user's complaints, or even their opinions on situations that happen inside threads.

Your comments are all appreciated, wether they are for or against my application. all opinions, thoughts, and suggestions are welcome, and will be noted on. Thank you for your time and patience.

To start off with I think you'd make an ace mod Rikioku, and I hope that the webmaster chooses you when he comes to pick a new mod.

You're definatley right about the time differences conflicting with the moderators and I have noticed that there aren't any mods on at the time specified. I know that you don't tolerate flaming, because we have reported one or two users for it.

Clearly you understand how AA works because of the amount of time you've been a member, obviously another pro for you

All in all your polite attitude to everyone on AA, intolerence towards flaming and spamming and general nature should, and hopefully will, get you a place as an AA mod.

Yeah I think you will do good, you have the right stuff. And the flaming is out of control here I would like to see some sort it. And you are willing to do so. I think you will do well, very well. I'm a really good moderator on many sites my self and an admin on one.

I believe you would make an excellent mod. You seem to be the type to keep a cool head during a conflict. Like in Fruits Basket topics, you ask people to highlight their spoilers and to go back on topic politely and directly. I vote yes. Good luck! ^_^

thanks you 3 ^_^ and, Sparx, i think you're right about the flame, but quite a lot is in the Off Topic. despite it being uber busy, mods have very little power there. the only real flame i could stop is in music (the whole emo debate is getting tiresome)
