i plan on moving there to be with my sis so i fugured i should know a bit about it

If you want to say 'not' as in I am not stupid or something, how do you say that? Also, if anyone could do me a favour and also tell me what 'and' is that would be great. Sorry if I'm asking for a lot!

Well... kind of complicated answers. Let's see how simply I can explain.

"I am stupid" -> "Watashi wa bakabakashii desu."
In this kind of instance, you can just turn desu into its negative form... but it has several negative forms, and it depends on if you're saying something informally/formally.

Negative forms of DESU include: ja nai (informal), ja nai desu, de wa arimasen, ja arimasen, de wa nai desu. So you can just replace DESU with any of them.

"I am not stupid" -> "Watashi wa bakabakashii ja nai."

Verbs like ARU/IRU ("to be/exist") turn into nai/arimasen and inai/imasen.
(Like, "I am not there" -> "Watashi wa soko ga imasen.")

If you need further instruction on negative verbs or something, let me know...

"And" is represented lots of different ways.

If you are saying two unrelated sentences, you use "soshite" at the beginning of the second one. Like:

"I went to the store. And it was a hot day."
Kanbutsuya e itta. Soshite atsui hi datta.
(my examples are lame)

If you are saying two related sentences, usually you put the ending verb of the first one into its -te form (which would be a whole different lesson, if you're interested):

"I went to the store, and I got fruit."
Kanbutsuya e itte, kudamono o katta.

If you are joining nouns with "and", it's also different.

If you are making a complete list of something, you usually put "to" inbetween the nouns.

"I love Shuuichi and Malik."
Shuuchi to Malik ga daisuki.

If you are making an incomplete list, you use "ya" instead. And then you usually follow the nouns with the word "nado":

"I bought apples, oranges, bananas (and so on)."
Ringo ya orenji ya banana nado o katta.

There are more ways to say "and"... one of them involves using "mo" inbetween nouns. But... seriously. Let me know if that helped or you were looking for something else... before I ramble on any further.

I guess I would say 'arigatou gozaimasu' is more polite by a slight margin, but either is fine. To really thank someone profusely and politely, you'd combine them into 'doumo arigatou gozaimasu'.
