Whatever it was, Kenji did show some pretty strong feelings towards Kenshin. Especially when Master Hiko asked him if he would return to visit his mother and father.

I think you are right Kosakka that Yahiko was like a second son and there might have been some resentment between the two but nothing directed towards Kenshin. The fight between Kenji and Yahiko was pretty cool.

Actually, tales of the meiji was just a made up arc to keep the series going while the creator worked on the real final arc. unfortunately, it was so bad that the show got cancelled. My advice would be to watch episodes 1-62, then read the ending of the manga. tales of the meiji was just plain bad!

 Now that is something I did not know! You have to give Tales of Meiji some credit. That whole part with the black knights and the persecuted christians was pretty cool but you are right that it was still bad. So what is the title of the final Manga volume?

Actually, there is an entire arc that wasn't animated known as the revenge arc. It was better than the kyoto arc. If i remember correctly, it starts in volume 18 or 19 an goes on till 28 the final volume. It's a shame they couldn't wait, then rushed the show into garbage and got it cancelled.

i didnt see it
I felt like a race horse in a world without racetracks or a champion college footballer suddenly confronted by Wall Street and a business suit, his days of glory shrunk to a little gold cup on his mantel with a date engraved on it like a tombstone.

Um...you can't see it. it wasn't animated, and that's the problem. You have to read it.

So wait 'cause now I'm confused. So there was an arc not animated. I got that much. Now does it come in after the last arc or during the Kyoto arc? And I'm still trying to figure out what the title of the Manga is that I need to read to get that and the ending.

It is the LAST arc. It goes from the wandering samuri arc to the kyoto arc to the REVENGE ARC. You want the names of all of the final manga, but i can't remeber them all. i read those a long time ago in japan. All i can tell you is the volume numbers, which is 18 or 19 through 28 and the main title is Rurouni Kenshin. You may be able to find them in english on amazon.com really cheap.

Hmmm. I wonder why they changed the Revenge Arc to the Meiji Arc. Wonder what made them do that one instead.

I already told you!!! The creator hadn't finished the story yet, and the anime creators had to buy some time to allow the manga to be finished. tales of the meiji was just something they came up with on the spot. But, it was so bad that by the time the revenge arc was completed, the show was already cancelled. So, technically the events from tales of the meiji NEVER happened!!!

That is so stupid. It just goes to show that great work can't be rushed. I wish they would have released that arc anyways.

I totally agree. I would have rather waited to see Enishi in action, than never get to see him at all. It was definitely the best arc. The Kyoto arc didn't hold a candle to the revenge arc. It went very in depth with Kenshin's past and his feelings involving everything including his dead wife. It is basically where they got most of the material from to create samurai x. The fact it never was animated is just a damn shame!

Now that I've watched the Meiji arc again, I can tell that it was indeed just taking up time for another arc and a pity that it will remain unfinished. I must say though that I still enjoyed it, except for the last FREAKIN' EPISODE!

I'm sure you probably already answered this and are getting tired of me asking the same questions again but where did you find all of this out?

I wish they would have went ahead and animated the thing anyways.
