Well the Japanese version is good with the exception of Kenshin's voice in that one. They really should have used someone else. But the english ones are all good (with the exception of some characters but those are usually only in a few episodes).

Both are fine except for kenshin's voice in the japanese version. It just sounds a bit feminine to me when compared to his voice in the english version.. :-k

yeah kind of is. when it's in japanese. it's still the same. my friend alex doesn't like the engilsh voice of kenshin and likes it better as a girl voice in japanese

But those are the dubbed voices that why they sound so bad. I only like the english because I'll understand it better. But i always listen to the japanese in subtitles first then English.

I didn't see any rules against posting in threads that are over a month old, so I hope this is alright.

For me, it depends on if you speak of the OVA or the anime series. In the OVA, the English dub is so awful, I can't listen to it without twitching. The VAs sound like they're reading from a script instead of acting. The Japanese is so much more powerful and passionate.

In the anime series, it's the opposite. Kenshin sounds like an old woman (seiyuu is a girl) and Sano's voice just doesn't seem right though I can't put my finger on why. I much prefer Richard Hayworth and Lex Lang. However, I dislike the English VAs for Sojirou (same as Kenshin in the Japanese version. They have a girl doing the voice), Tae/Sae and Chou (why do they sound like they're from Texas?).
