Okay, a fix has been attempted for the e-mail issue, so if that is what was causing this blank page problem, then hopefully it is fixed as well.

Ta hell with open source software 
. Apparently you need to have sendmail installed in order to compile php with the mail function even if you use postfix... It would be nice if they at least gave an error saying that you need it installed.
