First I want to say My DMC3 ending seems to be a bit different than yours, I saw someone say something like Virgil falling off a waterfall.......My ending has Virgil severely wounded in the demon realm surrounded by hoards of demons and running toward them to fight. And my bad it's been awhile since I played DMC3 I got the characters mixed up on who coined Devil May Cry...no one is perfect.

Also, Amerikan versions of our games butcher them, The name for the demon form is Nero Angero not Neo Angelo (how the hell did you come up with that?)

And I simply posted what is widely accepted over here as the meaning behind the new character. If you ask any DMC fan in Japan, they will tell you exactly what I posted. But by all means you are free to speculate just like the rest of us. And we will only know for sure who is right when DMC 5/6 comes out.

Now I say DMC 5 or 6 because Capcom might hold out on us like in DMC3 and wait for anticipation to build up.

Actually, I haven't finished DMC3. :/ I'm going on what it figures from the first game, that being that Nero Angero has Virgil's half of the pendant, so from that it is inferred that Nero Angero is, in fact, Virgil. Which would mean that he survived the events of DMC3. And that's not surprising. I mean, how many times has Dante been run through with a sword?

Yeah, I'm perfectly aware of American butchering of games and names, please do not get on me about that. Its not like I PERSONALLY make sure they butcher it.

Well we know for a fact that Virgil didn't die in DMC 3 because in DMC1 (which takes place after 3) Nero Angero reveals he is in fact Virgil. Virgil "appears" to explode at the end of DMC 1. But I believe he survived (just my opinion though)

Another point I would like to bring up is that in DMC 4 Dante is completely adamant about taking back the Yamato because he says "it should stay in the family" I don't think Dante would let Nero keep it if he wasn't related in some way.

Another thing I should tell you guys is that Nero does in FACT have demon blood in him (and that can only be from birth or an evil human wanting power but Nero isn't evil) This is shown when the Yamato reacts to the demon blood that was awakening inside him and restores itself (as it was broken)

And it is widely accepted that the weapon Yamato can only be wielded by a descendant of Sparda because it is infused with his power. This is backed up by the fact that the bad guys in DMC 4 were unable to use the Yamato or repair it. It was only when the demon blood inside Nero started to awaken the sword reacted. And if you pay close attention in DMC 3 Dante didn't know he was a demon because his demon blood hadn't awakened yet, so its not too much of a stretch for Nero to not know he was a demon until later in life. Plus Nero was able to use the "true" form of the Yamato that even Dante said only Virgil could do.

Oh also the first boss you fight in DMC 4 was the fire boss and when you beat him he says "you....you are just like him" now that's either referring to Dante being the protector of the humans or Virgil at the end of DMC 3 when he charged into the hoards of demons and lived. (obviously he lived if he was in DMC 1 as the bad guy) either way it's hinting at a blood relation between Virgil/Dante/Nero.

From what I recall, if you killed more than 100 doods in the credits, you get the thing where it shows what happened to the Blue Samurai guy after he falls off the waterfall. And yeah, that's when the statue dude from the first one attacks him and presumably kills (or possesses as the case may be) him.
And I'm assuming his name is meant to be 'Nero Angelo' since it means 'Black Angel' in Italian. Spelling mistake is my guess.

If a person has Sparda blood in them they are half brother to Dante and Virgil
You got a point in there..I agree, even though it is not really said in the game.

That's a good point. And I don't mean to make it sound like I don't think they're related, I'm just pointing out what I know. My personal opinion of it is that Nero is somehow related to/or in fact is Virgil.

lol. This is some debate, huh? But its a good game. I'm glad there's other people who like it as much.
