i have to be with the majority (sorry inu) but i have to root for Kagome. mostly because i detest kikyo. it's nothing against her...wait, no, yes it is. okay...i know that naraku really screwed her over with the whole attacking and killing thing, but even after she knew that inuyasha didn't kill her, she still holds him responsible. (and poor inu just follows her like a lost puppy). she steals the jewel from kagome and gives it to naraku, saying that she'll destroy him later??? WTF?

okay...so....lets say i decide to give a nuclear weapon to a neighboring country to tell them, hey, please just hold onto this for now, don't touch it, and i'll be back to destroy it along with you in a little bit.... yeah, i'd be dead...

also, if Kikyo hadn't of given the jewel to Naraku, Naraku would never have been strong enough to make the incarnations of Kagura and Kanna or Goshinki (sesshiles would never have Tokijyn). without them, he would never be able to form the other thousands of offspring that he creates and cause so much freakin trouble. it could have been quite possible that inuyasha could have defeated naraku that way. but noooooooo....that would be to easy. AND HE FORGAVE HER!!!!! grrrrrrrrrrr....

i'm not a big kagome fan but i think she is the lesser of two evils (though more annoying).

it is true that Kikyo was weak and let that happen. you'll see in later episodes (like 150 something) more of kikyo's side of it all. it's actually kind of sad. think about it (not a spoiler, just common sense) she had to be what...nineteen...maybe twenty one at most) when she was demanded to guard the jewel. she had no life and when finding someone who could relate to having thier life run by external forced (kikyo and expectations; yash and societys hatred for hanyous) they attached themselves together. did it make her weak; absolutly. but i don't think there is anyone yet who would have been strong enough to guard the jewel without external intervention. (i really like civilized discussions over these facts so dont' even think twice about me biting your head off, Nanaki, i don't do that). i'm not a fan of kikyo at all!! LOL. You're right though, and that is something highly adressed by fanfiction, there was NO trust between her and inuyasha. if there had been...then they would have believed such blatent lies about each other (didn't help that kikyo had a wound the size of New Jersey in her back). but still....

Sesshiles, as for inu and his pick between the pristesses....wellll...i'm a HUGH inu/kag fan just cause they are eachothers moderation of passion and reason, they balance each other...where inu just follows kikyo like a lost puppy (that can kill relationships, trust me). thank god someone else sees inu is crazy for still following her. here we go:

Kikyo always thought InuYasha was the one who killed her. when she learned different, the hate inside of her still overwhealmed her making her unable to rid the idea that it was inuyasha's fault. she says in the episode in which she is resserected that she hates him and that is what is keeping her going. later on, she contridicts herself by saying she is free to love as well as hate. go fig. why inu chases her? he feels responsible for her death. no idea why...i think he was running late the day he was supposed to meet with her ...or she was...but either way, he feels that he was unable to protect her, which he wasn't. he can't see that and promised Kaede that he would follow kikyo to hell if she asked (sigh).
