Weapons eh? If you need a large quanity of weapons with limited funds, I would suggest machine guns that fire bottlenecked 90mm bullets (in other words, a 5.56mm NATO round (or any other modern rifle bullet) scaled up to 90mm) . The bottlenecked 90mm bullets should prove to be effective against most forms of conventional armor, although I can't say how effective they will be against phaseshift armor or transphase armor. If money isn't an issue, I would say beam rifles (with wattage of around 1.9-3.0 MW) equipped with epacs, that way the rifles will not drain energy from the mobile suit's batteries, and will also be easier to reload. For close combat purposes, large caliber head vulcans and beam sabres. The vulcans should be at least 60mm to be effective, and the beam sabres should have a wattage around 0.4-0.6 MW. For long range and artillery purposes, i suggest 180-200mm shell firing artillery cannons or large beam cannons similar to the Gunner Zaku's, and the wattage should be around 8.0-9.0 MW. Or you could just ignore the wattages that I mentioned because I'm not sure if the Cosmic Era universe uses the same physics that UC uses.
Or if you just want flashy weapons, i suggest equipping your mobile suits with only beam scythes or big heat shotels and absolutely no long range weapons whatsover.

50mm for the beam rifles? that's a pretty small caliber for a beam rifle. The RX-78's beam rifle was 120mm, and it was a first generation beam rifle, which couldn't compare to the rifles created several years later, both in power and in ammo capacity.
