Haku was a GIRL, not a boy!

She did not lie to a stranger, she lied to an ENEMY. Naruto was seen by Haku protecting the bridge builder Tazuna, Zabuza's target for assassination. That means Haku knew Naruto and knew that he was her's and Zabuza's enemy.

Now, the question I think you are trying to get at is WHY she lied to her enemy. Well many reasons are possible, but according to the facts, there are a few obvious reasons. Deception of the enemy is the way of the shinobi, and Haku knew this. She made it one of her nindos.
Also, this was to protect her true identity, which was female. This way, if Naruto could place Haku's face with the "boy" who was helping Zabuza, which later happened, then Naruto would believe that Haku was a boy and not the true identity of being a girl, which also happened. Haku wanted Naruto to think that she was a boy because she did not know how the upcoming inevitable battle would resolve. Had Naruto been left alive and Haku and Zabuza were to escape, Naruto would have been able to pass on information about Haku and Zabuza. Because of Haku's deception about being a boy, the only thing Naruto would have been able to pass on to any tracker ninja is misinformation. Believe it!

Another logical reason, though not deeply rooted in fact like the above theory, is that thinking and claiming to be a boy was her way of staying loyal to Zabuza, both in pledge to be his weapon and in a romantic way. This way, claiming to be a boy would eliminate possible relationships with males other than Zabuza.

My proof to you is that he constantly refurs to himself as male, he doesnt have breasts,it is not unusual to have girly looking men with homoerotic tendancies in anime..remember pokemon lol -James- grows boobs for crying out loud! that was taken off by the american dubbing ppl. In japan this type of situation is happening all the time.
they are called bishounen. I love anime i draw it all the time and aspire to create beautiful male charaters like Haku.

Anyways i believe that Haku was dressed as a female due to personal prefrance and a desire to hide his identity. I think he told Naruto that he was a boy because even though he was enemies with him, he felt he understood Naruto and felt he could trust him.(He could have killed Naruto easily)
And for his feminine appearence, just a trick by the creator to show that the character is to some extent overly innocent and misunderstood,It is hard to draw an innocent looking male character so the easiest way is to make them look feminine.

You are sooo stubborn about proving a male character that is pretty and has homoerotic tendancies to be a woman that it sounds like you have your own damn issues about homosexuality.

In final i will say i think most ppl agree with me..this is really dumb but i feel a strong need to stand up for my favourite dead anime hero. I really hope you come and reply to this...I could go on about this for ages:)

You said Haku had breasts.(at least in the other thread, I didn't bother reading this one) Well, you're probably just seeing lumps in his baggy clothes. I own the episodes with Haku. And I've noticed, if you look at him when he's fighting, you see a slope to the rope around his waist. And, Listen to what they call him. HE and BOY. Plus, ever heard of bishounen? It's a boy that looks, in almost every way, like a girl. And with how he feels about Zabuza, they do love each other, if you've seen all the episodes it's obvious. Ever heard of guys liking guys? It is possible. You don't have to be a girl to like a guy. That's proven. And boys that are practically girls are not uncommon in anime. For example, Jakotsu from Inuyasha. He's another one like Haku. (but he's stupid) So why don't you just do this about Haku being a girl.

Sorry if I sound rude. Haku is one of my fave characters. So I try to make sure people get his gender right.
