okay kiddies...calm down and take some deep breaths. now...the movies are simply non-canon stories that were written to be produced for cinima features. the manga is continuing in Japan. the reason they stopped the show is becasue they caught up to the published manga. they have completed a number of other mangas since the end of the show last september yet not enough to base another series off of. (maybe another twenty or thirty episodes at absolute most). you can read the manga off of a website: http://www.ear-tweak.com/iy_manga/main.htm that's one of the many.

as for the series: they are talking many different options right now. the three obvious ones are continuing the series when they have enough to produce again (since it is such a great anime over in Japan and SOOO popular), contuning the manga through movies (hence canonizing the movies) {canon meaning making the shows actually fit into the seires and relating back to them in the show. if you notice, you never hear about the third sword or the evil moth dude in any episodes because the movies aren't technically canon. the only irregularity is Houjo from the second movie}. the last option (and the one i hate) is just leaving everything to be done through manga. no plans have been made. just manga. enjoy!!!!

Another reason they ended the series, is so it would follow the movies.

I watch the movies to keep me on track because the first movie was after Inuyasha learned the Backlash Wave. And Second Movie was about after Inuyasha wielded the Red Tetsusaiga..... it obivious I would watch more of the movies than the TV episodes.

the movies are okay...there are a couple slips in both that have been released in America. one being in the first movie, as you said InuYasha knows the Bakuryuuha (backlash wave)Yet sesshoumaru IS NOT carrying Tokijyn...he only has Tensaiga. (go fig). second movie Kohaku is running around muttering that he remembers Sango and yet doesn't. it's weird. good, but weird. i would suggest the episodes before the movie...but maybe that's just me.
