"doosan"?

Family references:

" - " These are used when having a conversation about your own family. One must be humble themselves in speaking about them so these are to be used

" * " These are used when you're referring to someone else's family member other than yours. These are also used with calling to each other when you're together by yourselves (although if you want to be polite to your family members, use the "O" as well). The use for the "O"s at the beginning is putting the other person's family higher than yours in order to be polite and humble yourself even further when conversing. I'll explain more if you need it.

ah, i apologize. see, i know "mother" but the only reference to "father" is what ive heard. and when spoken natively it starts to sound a bit like "doosan" instead of "otoosan"...which is a fair mistake given 't' and 'd' sound fairly similar...but thank you for correcting me

Yeah. I know the sound of how sometimes the "t" is heard like a "d". When I first heard it, it sounded like that to me too. The "too-san" is more of a closer level than your regular "otoo-san" though.

She is my cousin = Kanojo wa watashi no itoko desu.

"Watashi" could be replaced with "atashi" if you wish, but they both mean the same. The only difference is that "atashi" is a polite form for "I/me" for girls.

I don't think there's a "momoru"...but there is a "mamoru", which is "to guard, protect, obey".

mmmmm that would be "na2" i think. tat second character is "ni" as in the number 2. youre looking for "ni" and in the hiragana character

It could be considered that too. The Kanji for "2" is "二". It's also a Katakana character as well for "ni".

The reason why "nani" appears to be "ナニ" on several occasions is because it may represent an emphasis, I think, or stressing the "what?" to a "What??" so to speak.

Or it just does that to make things different...
