Sex shouldn't matter in terms of a sustainable relationship/love etc. I'll give you a personal example:


About 4 years ago my uncle who is 31 now, and his girlfriend who was very beautiful (and she still is), were at a lake and swimming, etc etc, and his girlfriend swung off this rope and -I wont go in to excessive detail- she had an accident and fractured her spine. She'll be in a wheelchair for the rest of her life.
He stuck with her through her recovery and therapy, and then he asked her to marry him. She said yes.
Obviously they were sexually active beforehand, but they can't be now I'm assuming, since they adopted.

That's very sad, yet sweet Locke. I don't mean to butt in, but I think they probably are sexually active since it's possible. The reason why they adopted is probably that there are risks for her to have a baby (since she fractured her spine).

But that's not what I meant by my question.

I meant, do you love after sex? Or can you love before sex?

Almost ALL of my girfriends have told me that they knew they actually loved the guy AFTER they had sex, because it allowed them to connect "spiritually".

I personally think it's bs. Sex can't make you love someone. Or so I believe it doesn't.

I'd say love just comes before you know it. To some people it comes after sex, to some after a single glance and to others, never, lol. I cant say I really believe in love after sex, lol, it doesnt take me that much to realise if i'm in love or not. I agree with you Anna at some point, but still, some people just do realise that they love the person after they've had sex, its just their way.
