Considering the breakthroughs that Queen has made in music alone, and the amount of bands that draw from that inspiration.

MCR is indeed a fad. Look at how many MCR ripoff bands there are. It's not particularly because they're good, but rather because it sells.

Were there any Queen ripoff bands during their reign? Not that I've ever heard, because they did something that didn't cater to the masses, and hit big with it.
