That may be true but if you consider yourself an artist or something along those lines, would it not be better to give "constructive" criticism than harsh criticism?

[No, Not at all.]

Being constructive is fine, but when I was in my many art classes I asked my professors to be harsh and to treat me as any employer would treat a free lance or working artist on a team. I got better by taking loads of crap and not being lied 2. I tell it like it is rather than sweeten it up for the sake of an artists feelings.


If you think about it I was not that hard, I give my good friend s a push every once in a while to let them know they should step it up a notch, 9 times out of 10 it works especially if they have talent. Snowy has talent, In reality I was hoping she would show more work so I can see just how far her talent lies. Anyone who knows me, knows I can be blunt. Life cannot always be sugar coated.

Indeed. And I know you do, but Constructive criticism works better than harsh. Most artist that use harsh criticisms are just doing it to get to new artists and knock out the competition. I know you aren't doing that but you could've just said the nose was a bit off, or asked if that's the style she was going for
