haha! you're not the only one who is trying to teach their selves japanese...I'm trying that myself...so far...I've learned many words and ish trying to learn more words so I can make sentences and then ask people and they wont know a word I'm saying! bwhahaha!

I think you mean 'wakarimasu ka'.

I think I would be the same as you, although I get good marks in speaking and listening tests, I do find them much harder to do than the reading and writing tests
