Doing taekwondo I got to a point where I was blackbelt and unsatisfied. I worked very hard. My instructor had nothing to offer me, nor did the form. So I left.

I agree with the LAST statement I guess. And, some styles do nothing. Perhaps I could recommend....Shorin Ryu, or perhaps Shotokan? They are styles that can never be perfected, OR mastered completely.

Actually, ROBOTO_27, a friend of mine got his 1st degree black belt in Taekwondo in about a year and a half, fyi.

Yeah but, it isn't supposed to be like that. Where I come from, it aint about the colors. I have been in martial arts for...almost 2 years. I am not even a blue belt. THAT is what I mean.

Hmmm...never heard of that style before. What country is it from? Although my dad used to take Shotokan when he was a kid (he got to orange belt) and he said it would take a very very long time for someone to get a black belt. So I guess some styles just take longer than others to master.
