1.) Why did Ed and Al burn their house? I didn't understand no matter how many times I watch Full Metal.
2.)does anyone know Ed's shoe size?? or his exact height?
3.)When will the movie finally show!!!? I'm so excited with (spoiler charcters ahead!!:!:)

Ed and Al burn their house because they didn't want a home to come back too(in other words they wanted to get rid of all the bad memories)

They did this out of motivation to keep moving forward. If you believe you have a home to go back to, you will keep looking back to that home, and possibly run back home and decide not to keep going on your journey.

2.)does anyone know Ed's shoe size?? or his exact height?

Why would you want to know his shoe size? I think he's about five feet tall, though. I know Al's 6 feet or so.

Okay, first off... they haven't even shown the entire SERIES over here yet. The movie will probably be out next year, or the year after. One thing at a time, PLEASE!

And who the heck are Heidrich and Wendy? I highly doubt Hitler will make an appearance, though I'm not going to deny it until I know. But I know for a fact that, it being a Fullmetal Alchemist movie, Ed WILL be in it. Him and Al both.

Hiedrich is Al's Gate World counterpart, Alphonse Heidrich. Wendy is Winry's Gate World counterpart. Maese is Hughes's gateworld counterpart.

if you call yourself a Full metal fan, you should have researched at least a bit about FMA the movie, even before watching it, then you would know what I'm talking about right now, and I'm not excactly sure about the appearance but I know the rest of the characters I mentioned will be there!And I'm proud of the info sites I go to! And by the way, in a place like America, do you think it will be slower than this place I call Philippines?! and what's wrong with knowing a persons height, Ed's in particular?

I went into the series knowing nothing about it. And now, I probably know more than most people who knew this stuff beforehand (probably because yes, I see BEYOND the story).

I don't seek info on the sites, I wait until I can actually watch them. I try to steer clear of spoilers, because to me... knowing something about a movie or series BEFORE you see it just dulls the experience. Spoilers ruined my experience with Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith (Yes, I knew he would be Vader, but that's not what I mean).

Don't get on me about the whole "You call yourself a fan?" crap. I'm more of a fan than those who do know things - knowing what's going to happen does not make you more of a fan.

...Sadly, cosplay does. But my point is, I go deeper than most fans do. I don't care about the movie's storyline, I'm waiting to SEE it to start caring. I am looking beyond the storyline itself. Do you even know where the symbol on Ed's coat, Al's shoulder, and their teacher's chest tattoo, comes from?

And I don't mean where in the series (though that would be nice to see if you know it, too).

I didn't intend to hurt you in any way, I just really don't like being told I'm not a loyal or real fan... I mean, I cut out my love for Cowboy Bebop for this series. I take it very seriously.

just because you don't know things doesn't mean your not a real fan. take me for example, i've only seen one trailer for the movie, i haven't missed an episode yet (Wrath is awsome),and i have a fma hooded sweater, two shirts, and a backpack. i hardly understand how homunculus are born, i don't know what the definition for the 7 sins are, and i don't know how someone would be so crazy to draw a circle and predict something will happen (we all want to know how alchemy was born am i right?).

p.s. i have one of the games, still need to get the second

they're right. i'm a fan and i barely know squat about this series. well not the in depth stuff they do. but i enjoy the series and thus i consider myself a fan.

Alchemy is a primitive combination of chemistry and mysticism, along with partial astrology/astronomy and a major dose of philosophy. If you're thinking of prediction, that's... something entirely different. Precognition is not part of an Alchemist's trade. That's for soothsayers, prophets, and fortune tellers.

And seriously, if anybody ever wants to know more about anything, feel free to ask me. For instance... the 7 Deadly Sins were set up by some... old Catholic guys... and are the 7 basic carnal sins which prevent people from entering into Heaven. In Dante Alighieri's "The Divine Comedy," those who could not overcome the Seven Deadly Sins were caught in Purgatory until they could atone for them.

Anyone who has a good list of the Homunculi know the sins.
Pride.
Envy.
Wrath.
Sloth.
Avarice (Greed).
Gluttony.
Lust.

And if anyone has gotten the reference so far with the new character, Dante... good for you! ^_^

Although Dante in Fullmetal Alchemist is a woman, and Dante Alighieri was a man... *shrugs*
