JM's Japanese class.

It's not nearly as complex as English, but as usual we find ways to screw it up.

I'm not sure abou that, it is probably most likely a slang word or from a differnt dialect

The Japanese verbs for "Help" is "Tasukeru" 助ける and "tesudau" 手伝う.

Saying "Help me!" is "Tasukete kure!" 助けてくれ!.
Saying "Help me, I'm drowning!" Would be "suishi sasete iru, tasukete kure!" 水死させている、助けてくれ!.

The Kanji for drown 水死 literally means "Water Death". I just thought you would like to know.

So yeah, I'm not saying you are wrong, I just have not heard that word before.

Like I said, it very well could be, but I have never heard that before. But I am have not mastered the language yet, not even close. Hell, I have only been learning Japanese for about 8 months.

So yeah, I'm guessing this will remain a mystery for a while yet.

I dont have a "Japanese" keyboard. I have a normal one, but with windows you set it up to type in Japanese.

Have you read the Japanese writing system thread yet?

Well, kind of.

There are things in Japanese called "counters", used for various things and objects. In english we say things like "2 bars of saop" or "two packsof smokes. These words are kind of like "counters" in Japanese. The Japanese counter for people is "nin" but is different for one or two people.

So you dont say "ni girls in the park" you have to use the counter for people in Japanese.

One person - hitori 一人
Two people - futari 二人
Three people - san nin 三人
Four people - yo nin 四人
five people - go nin 五人

And so on and so on. So the correct sentance for "two gilrs playing in the park would be

koen de onnanoko ga futatsu wo asondeiru
公園で女の子が二人を遊んでいる

The key part of that is "onnanoko ga futatsu" meaning "two girls"

If you want to learn more about location and the particle "ni" and "de", wich are both location particles, it is going to need it's won thread, so let me know.
