i need help translating this line

It's not nearly as complex as English, but as usual we find ways to screw it up.

i need help translating this line

Post by loderian »

Book

it is the first line on the left. I and a friend got stuck on the 8th or 9th character down, right above the "a". Use the magnifying glass up at the top to zoom into the picture for a better image of the symbol.

also, when in japanese they use regular sized hiragana with the subscript signs, like: "kya" being both of "ki" and "ya", does that mean that the word has some kind of accent over one of the letters? if so, how do you know which letter has the accent?

*scratches head* I'm not completely sure what you're asking, but I'll give you everything from the hiragana into roomaji:

Yookoso oitei ni narimashita
Kame o tasukete itadaita
orei ni ima kara ryuuguu ni otsureshimashoo
saa doozo

If you need to get the whole thing translated, get back to me on that one.

For your second paragraph, for some reason I'm having a hard time understanding on what you're trying to ask... :?

From what I can tell you now, the regular sized hiragana with the smaller one next to it (or under on the upper-right hand corner) isn't accented. Just blended sounds.

thanks for the help, but did you translate the line on the left side or right side of the page?

When reading, its done right to left and up to down right?

When reading those things as such, the rules are from right, down, then the next line to it's left and continue.

Your just basically starting on the right side, but reading/writing downwards.

I know I'm probably explaining a little hard, but if you know your hiragana (or most of them), compare that to the picture and you'll know what I'm talking about.

I'm not sure what you're saying...the link you gave only has writing on the right side of the two pages, so I translated the only thing I saw to roomaji.
