Ataru Moroboshi.
He was born on April, Friday the 13th. On the way to the hospital his parents walked under a ladder to avoid a black cat that crossed their path. And that morning the father broke a mirror. Every thing bad in the world happens to Ataru. The one good thing in his life is Lum, but she is constantly zapping him when ever he's looking at other women.
Rumiko had fun with this as the name Moroboshi in Japanese literally means hit by a falling star. Which in Japan is a bad omen.
