Name translation
My name's Christopher... What's that in JPN?
Re: Name translation
There's two ways I can think of, but I'm not too sure which one is better:
Christopher = Kurishitafaa = クリシタファー
Christopher = Kurisutafaa = クリスタファー
...I think the 2nd one is what you should take, in my opinion.

Re: Name translation

Re: Name translation
It depends on how it's being pronounced. Is the "a" a long or a short vowel?

Re: Name translation
Mi = mi = ミ
Phuong (I'm assuming it's pronounced "Fu-ong") = fuongu = フオング

Re: Name translation
I wonder if someone can translate my real name. Someone told me there's no "ye" in Japanese, but . . .
Well, it's Yesenia. Would anyone like to try it?

Re: Name translation
Yeah. There's no "ye", just like there's no "yi". It's either "ya", "yu", or "yo".
There are some changes, but I'm not sure at the moment.
I'll give it a try, but 芸者男の子-san would probably be better at this:
Yesenia = hesenia = ヘセニア

Re: Name translation
I was trying to fiddle around with my katakana mode on the IME Pad. イェ didn't look so good, so I just changed it to ヘ instead.
