ok heres the story. my sister who thinks she knows everything about computers saw me on AA yesterday and she told me not to come on here anymore because it will screw up the computer and all message boards are filled with viruses. i KNOW this isnt true because i have not had a virus for two years and im the one who does mantanence on it(virus updates and all that junk). now ill admit i dont know EVERYTHING about computers but i know enough to get around the block. my computer also has like ALOT of programs on it and you know how when you start your computer your suposed to wait until they showup in the system tray? well she dosnt wait for them to fill up and she just clicks on a program such as the internet or somthing else, it takes a while to show up because the computer is trying to load up the programs. she blames the fact that it takes so long on me and the fact that i go to this site. PLEASE help me out by giveing me some sort of proof so i can prove her wrong.

lol I do that all the time and yes that is the reason it goes slow, as for actual proof, that i don't have.

Why not just tell her what you said there? Tell her to wait for all the programs to load, then start something up. Also...I know how you feel...everyone here blames me for EVERYTHING that happens to the computer.

My sister annoys me too. She never STFU. Anyway, try talking to her about the computer problem, Coinie. Although I doubt she'll listen to reason since my sister doesn't.

Well, tell her anyway. Keep explaining to her. If she doesn't listen, then there's nothing you can do because the only way out is for her to listen. =/

The thing with computers is that they don't open one program. then open another, they open 1% of one program, then open 1% of the next, then another 1% of the next one, and so on. Extremely fast. so while your computer is skipping through your auto load programs, if she opens something else then it will have another 1% to go to each time. thus making them all slow. IF your sister does not know this then she is clearly wrong about knowing "everything" about computers...Make sure you tell her I said so. And if she doesn't belive me then allow me the pleasure of hacking her computer to change her desktop to the phrase "You smell like poop"

Tell her like it is, "Sh1t happens" and just because it does, does not mean that you were responsible. She must act like she is all that, like her sh!t does not stink ahaha.
