Anyone into reading either books that take place in Asia, or classic Asian literature, or... I dunno, books that involve Asians? (lol) I love reading fiction that takes place in Asia, especially China. Some recommendations:
Amy Tan: Joy Luck Club, Kitchen God's Wife, and Bonesetter's Daughter. (I didn't like her other books all that much, and actually, I think Kitchen God's Wife was her best.)
Lisa See: Peony In Love & Snow Flower and The Secret Fan
Gloria Whelan: Chu Ju's House
Pearl S. Buck: The Good Earth (quite an old book)
Many Ly: Roots and Wings
There's some others sitting on my shelf that I haven't gotten around to yet, like two by Lin Yutang.
But anyone else read these kinds of books? Or read any actual Asian classics, like The Tale of Genji?

Same here EL. I keep passing by the Romance of the Three Kingdoms. I guess I'll have to do it another time v.v
Also Dreams, have you read "Farewell to Manzanar" and "Red Girl?" (I think that was the title).
