i agree with aoi, there too different to compare, its like comparing Haseo from .hack//roots with Hiei for Yu Yu Hakashou

Naruto stands out for me. Well, Goku is my favorite during the past years.

Um, Goku can beat Naruto's face in any day. I mean, Goku can be DEAD and still kick ass.

Hmmm..
interesting that you would compare those two protagonists. I've often dwelled on the thought that Naruto will one day become the newskool DBZ. Thinking about it more, naruto has 220 eps, then the (so far) 95 shippuuden. DB had.. i think like 250 some odd eps, and DBZ has almost 300 if i'm not mistaken. Then theres DBGT which i can't fully support being part of the DBC's but still is, so it counts..
Anyways, Getting back on topic. Naruto and Goku.. Hmm..
Goku is more innocent, as Naruto is more of an idiot.
I think Goku wins.
And in a fight, Goku would have his hands full <,< Gotta Remember Naruto has the Kyuubi, and even though he wants to fight without its power, he may have to pull on it for power when fighting goku, and that'd create quite a problem for Goku.
Especialy when Goku would just stop fighting and let naruto win <,<
