What does everybody say: Adult Swim, does it do good or bad for anime?

I say it's good for anime. Late night slots such as this provide an opportunity for more anime to be shown and for that anime to be shown with fewer cuts and edits than would be required for more mainstream hours. It's only because of these late night hours that viewers have the opportunity to see series such as Cowboy Bebop and Trigun that would be too intense to be shown anywhere else on the network. Being a top-tier cable outlet means the anime gets nationwide coverage. Just look at the attention the announcements of Fullmetal Alchemist and Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex brought.

Not to mention Read or Die TV is coming to AS...One Piece would've found a nicer home on AS than on Fox Box, but they got licensed by none other than 4Kids.......They need to be flushed.
Cowboy Bebop struck big on AS
Trigun is a top notch player
The Big-O's first and second halves took off on AS
a Multitude of Gundam Series, Yu Yu Hakusho, Detective Conan/Case Closed, Witch Hunter Robin, etc.
If there is anything, ANYTHING at ALL that will open the eyes of the public, it will be Adult Swim. The various anime networks, and the remnants of TechTV's block don't have a big enough base. CN already has built up an extensive cable and dish base, and if they really wanted to, they could sink everyone else. All they need is some unknown and good anime to bring to the national television lineup.

Don't worry. It's actually on the way back. After Gundam SEED passes episode 26, it's going off Toonami (probably to give The Ocean Group time to finish dubbing) and Rurouni Kenshin will take its place.
