Simple: it is fiction, plain and simple.
Thomas (Venmoch) Rusbridger wrote it, just as well as anyone could write a story about evangelion.
I've printed this out, and read half of it already.
It is as good as watching the episodes... consider it a manga without the pictures. It is indeed very good, it is even worthy of actually doing a second series, IMO.
Apart from the english, that is not perfect, but easily understandable, it is quite a treat.
