Character Profile: Yumichika Ayasegawa

Yumichika loves his looks and hates people who he thinks are ugly. He will keep telling them their ugly until his heart contents. His Zanpaktou is Fujikujaku. He wears red feathers on his right eyebrow and yellow feathers on the eyelashes of his right eye, also.

He picked his own seat by the "beauty" of it. He thinks the number 3 (三) is much prettier than the number 4 (四). Since 3rd seat was taken by his good friend Ikkaku Madarame, he decided to chose seat 5 (五) which he thinks resembles 3.

He began a fight with Ganju Shiba in episode 28 (his debut). During the episode he kept annoying Ganju Shiba buy saying that he (Ayasegawa) was prettier than him. A few episodes affter Ganju escaped, he came back and fought with him again. Yumichika said he doesn't remember "ugly" faces as he sees him again obviously remembering him.

He, Ikkaku Madarame, Renji Abarai, Rukia Kuchiki, Toushiro Hitsugaya and Rangiku Matsumoto enter the human world in episode 116 or 115. They begin to fight the Arrancar, as they look for places to sleep with everyone else.
