Character Description: Captain Lugh Burrenclare
Discover Anime @ AbsoluteAnime.comDoraemonLugh Burrenclare is the captain of the special intercepting force called DAKT, making her the superior officer of Kyosuke Mido and Hikari Amatsue. In Episode 2, after Hikari gets hurt, Lugh has an intimate encounter with Kyosuke. Later on, they sleep together again in her room. She also promises Kyosuke that they will be together again once the battle is over. Her intimate relationship with the protagonist, Kyosuke Mido, serves as a coping mechanism against the immense stress of piloting giant mechs against apocalyptic threats.
Unlike the other pilot heroines in the DAKT squad (who come from varied civilian, experimental, or criminal backgrounds), Lugh is a former United States Marine. Because of her formal military training, she is highly disciplined and understands her tactical role perfectly. She is always the very first pilot to charge straight into the enemy lines during a mecha engagement.
Because she holds a leadership position over Kyosuke and Hikari, she acts with a strict, no-nonsense military pragmatism. However, she also harbors a deeply protective, responsible streak for her subordinates. Lugh frequently butts heads with the other pilot, Shin Reihou. Shin is an impulsive, spoiled assassin from a wealthy Chinese mafia family who lacks standard military discipline, causing immediate friction with Lugh's structured, marine-trained mindset.
Lugh pilots a giant mecha unit belonging to the Siegfried class (ジークフリート). Her specific unit is tailored heavily to her personal fighting style and military background.
