Character Profile: Lancer

Lancer is the first aggressive servant encountered in the series. When we first meet him, Tohsaka Rin and Archer have been waiting for him, and he appears on the rooftop, looking down on them from the top of the fence.

He loves a good fight, which comes from who he was in his previous life. He's carefree and can be playful if he so desires, and usually only if it suits his purposes. But he can quickly get into a frenzied battle.

Lancer's weapon is known as Gaé Bolg (or Gaé Bulg), and when he uses his Noble Phantasm it gives away very quickly who he truly is.

Lancer's master was killed before the series began, and their command seals transferred to another who was a Master in the previous Grail Wars. He discovers near the end of the series that his Master had two servants the whole time, and that he had been working with Gilgamesh (who is of the Archer class).

Lancer is killed by Gilgamesh when he goes into a fight with him to clear himself.
