Inuyasha is currently only 54 volumes
In the beginning was the Win, and the Win was with Gai, and the Win was Gai.

Maybe she is refering to the 100º chapter. There are currently 54 volumes and 536 chapters released.

No, I'm not refering to the 100° chapter. I'm refering to the manga number 100.
And I don't think it will end in this volume... o__o If there are currently 54 volumes.. it'd be 2 more... then 102... but I don't know.

That 100 looks conspicuously fake.

The 2 longest series of all time are Kochikame at 157 volumes and JoJo's Bizarre Adventure at 92 volumes and they've been running at uninterrupted weekly releases far longer than Inuyasha has been around.

It isn't fake, because manga here has about half of the pages of manga in Japan. If there are 50 volumes in there, there'll be about 100 here. So, this isn't fake.
I saw it for selling.

That 100 doesn't refer to the chapter or to volumes and Ritsuka, manga is basically translated into "comic book" or "comic book story" so if u can't actually say the manga number 100 without refering to a chapter or volume.

That is called an annivesary cover and it is not recent my friends, I saw it a while ago, I'm not sure what it was celebrating but I believe it was the 100º week as a best-seller in japan. I don't really know I just think it is 'cause I remember something similar a while ago.

Then again I might just have to check.

Ok... but you're wrong, this is the 100th 'comic book' then (it will be released here in Brazil )....I don't know in what chapter/volume it's in Japan.

mmm...Brasil? Maybe that's where I saw it!!!!! (Me is portuguese XD)
I'll check! The brazilians are like the americans, the change the covers and use a mirror effect on the pages (XP I don't like).

Rumiko is indeed a very good artist and the list of her works (from what I know and excluding one-shots) is:
-Mermaid Saga
-Maison Ikokku
-One-Pound Gospel
-Ranma 1/2
-Inuyasha

They stopped doing that like years ago, all the manga released now are from right to left, and a majority of them keep the original cover, unless for some reason its censored, but thats more of a censorship/company thing more than an American thing.

Thats why you don't read Shonen Jump

South African, but I live in Portugal.

Yes, the brazilians love to edit the manga and the anime too for that matter, though, unlike the americans, they keep some of the original expressions and names.

I forgot to mention that Rumiko also wrote a comedy shoujo manga (totally random) called Urusei Yatsura.

And Pennroyal, they only do that now on ongoing series so they can be released quicker, but completed series or censored series (which happens a lot) are still mirroed and altered slightly.

I think the biggest difference is on the anime.
Like in InuYasha, 'Kaze no kizu' became 'Ferida do Vento' here.
and his other attack (I forgot the name in japanese) became 'Onda explosiva'.
Some people were angry with the translation of some Naruto moves here.. XP I don't know what happened, but all I know is that those people were trying to stop the translation of the names of the attacks.

Yeah that happens a lot with brazilian dubbs. (And the other attack is Bakuriyuha).
Kaze no Kizo means literally "Wind Scar" but since it is a name it shouldn't be translated along with stuff like Sankontessou.

On a off note, the only thing I liked dubbed into brasilian portuguese was South Park. Kaleido Star (which was a big hit here with brazilian dubbs) was horribly modified, for example.
