In the manga he put Kaiba to hospital. Pegasus' goons only had to pick up his deck.

He was in some kind of coma right? I have the duelist manga and he's in a wheelchair first time I see him. Quite a sight too; eyes all blank and that.

He was made like that after the Events of Death T in the original manga.
