I Think it would be beneficial to the website and mod team to select a Head moderator from the existing mods to be a Head Moderator. A head Moderator would have all the abilities of a regular mod but with 1 extra ability to suspend a user for up to 2 days.

Actually I changed my post because I was thinking about a gaming server I was on and after a certain period the mods were upgraded to a new lvl, giving them extra options - which were determined by how long they had been there, how well they did their job, and whoever was the most qualified.
That way it would be a tier of mods instead of a flat panel.

I think webmaster is very fair and i appreciate that (Except when it works against me haha!)
But by giving a mod suspension powers this could ruin the fair reputation this site has.
I won't be surprised if webmaster is not a fan of this idea. But if they can only suspend a user for 2 days not too much harm can be done. Also, it would obviously be under webmaster and the majority of AA's scrutiny so it would be silly to abuse the power.
But I don't feel it's necessary.

My point is to make 1 head mod like Dretlin that can suspend......not all the mods.
And 2 days is plenty, a 2 day suspension quells the problem for long enough for webmaster to get online, after that webmaster can decide what to do. As of currently if there is an annoying spammer whose making tons of threads all the mods can do is keep deleting them and that only lags the forum. If there was a head mod he could be suspended from the forum until webmaster can get on and deal with him.

I still don't think that it'd be appropriate, if the mod that gets elected, suspends someone for an inappropriate reason, it'll cause more drama.
We don't want that. I know where you're coming from, but I really don't think it's necessary. And plus, what if the head mod isn't on either?
