That looks like a Wanzer mech from the SNES game, Front Mission.

 It can't be true.... No way I got to see it in real life to believe it but if it is true it would be so cool :D 8)

I watched the two videos of it, and it seems real. That walker was shooting red balls, the size of tennis balls. It also seems quite capable of walking on flat, horizontal surfaces.

There is also another one,
http://neogentronyx.com/
this website is trying to make (And mass produce) their own 18 foot high mecha. And Dark Wing, a gundam would actually be unfeasible in real life, as much as i hate to admit it. it's profile would be much taller than lets say... a tank, meaning it would just be a big target. unless the developers manage to make an armor capable of withstanding dozens of tank shells, or give it the ability to run fast without losing its balance, I'd say that a mech in use for a military application would be an expensive bullseye. If it was refined and improved, I could see the land warrior in use in an anti infantry role though. equip it with a small caliber minigun and a few rockets and it would be any soldier's nightmare

well that can not be vert effective in a real battle.
all they have to do is bring out an RPG and that "mecha" is down.

He does have a point, but that is only a prototype. I doubt it would be an actual military vehicle. At most, law enforcement and riot control.

There is armor that can be put on a tank called Explosive Reactive Armor, which renders RPGs almost useless, even with a side or rear hit. The majority of the modern tanks in the Main Battle Tank class of armored fighting vehicles have ERA.

That's true Pitt. it would probably work better in police applications, where most people do not have access to rpgs. I remember seeing something about ERA before, it has explosives imbedded in the armor, then when an explosive hits it, the second explosion cancels out most of the destructive energy. or something like that.

I dont think the public is going to allow the police to ride around in 13foot robots with miniguns on them.
And all they have to do is shoot at the leg and the thing would trip. Also I dont think those things will ever replace tanks, tanks are smaller, cheaper to make, more fire power, can hold people in them, harder to blow up, and are faster then a robot with legs.

If you're familiar with the game Heavy Gear which was inspired by AT Votoms. Those are far more likely to be developed from technology like this. They don't stand much taller than a tank. Think of them as heavily armored infanty. It would be cheaper to build something like that than a mobile suit. As much as I'd want a MS.

I'll settle for a SR King Cobra gear at the very least. See my AV for a King Cobra.

:D That is sooooo awsome!!! But to be honest i think they would be of most help in construction, but...I would totally join the military to be able to piolet one of those babies  . As far as arena fighting...a guess that would be the only way to get one in public huh? I would hate 4 a police man in a 13 foot suit stop me 4 a speeding ticket    .
