It's a long story. Some guys asked me if a cop, I said them no, they say they would check. Creeped me out esp. due to the fact my county has been seeing gang violence rise.

No. If anyone has a reason to be paranoid, it'd be police officers. Gangs are known for certain reconnaissance tactics (not sure on the methodology). All I know is, the DA's office has compiled a "brown book" which lists every single piece of gang information for all local gang members.
