kikyo pinned him to the tree when he was taking the jewel, part of naraku's plan. naraku attacked her, then pretended to be kikyo and told inu to steal the jewel. and real kikyo saw him taking it and pinned him, if i'm not mistaken

hmm. Well if you guys would have read what i wrote then you would know. Since kikyo pinned inuyasha to the tree with the arrow after she wouldnt let him have the jewel he was curious and wanting to learn more about her. He fell in love with her and decided that not to use the jewel once she told him aobut wanting to wish it to be pure and not give anything back so it couldnt cause evil. Buit once it shadered thats when kikyo died and kagome came along. Since his affair with kikyo he didnt want the jewel anymore and since then he has been trying to help kagome get them to piece it together to wish it to be pure so it couldnt be used any more..

::sigh::::this is gonna get UGLY. ACTUALLY....humans can use the jewel shards; reference to the first/second episode where Kaede is telling Kagome who to be weary of evil humans who seek to use the jewel to extend their own power (not that she listened). another example; Kikyo running around randomly in like episode 92 and ran into that old bandit whose health was being prolonged by the jewel shard, and shortly after giving it up, he died. he was trying to get to the holy mountain (i really don't feel like looking up correct spellings). i could go on to talk about humans but they haven't aired those episodes yet so i stand down.

NEXT...inuyasha and the jewel shard. ::bigger sigh:: before you rant and chew out people on the thought of him using it, know the show. i really don't want to sound like a wench, which i guess can't be helped at this point, and i can't say anything any about it but honestly....i have seen all the episodes made and if you had as well, you could respond to this question with a little more authority to its purpose. if you want to know more, PM me about it...i don't want to sound like a bit#$, and i can't go into it, but honestly, know the show first. i love this show, it is my unfortunate obsession. i understand you are 'getting tired of explaining it'...but let's talk before you continue, ne?[/spoiler]
