Full Metal Panic; Manga or Anime?

Hey, I started to think about checking out "Full Metal Panic," but I wasn't sure whether I should first read the manga, or just watch the anime. Please help me out!

I would definitly check into it. It's one of my favorite animes right now. It has mostly action, with a little romance and comedy. A must see.

Hmm...So did you start out with the T.V. series or the manga? And I was wondering if there were really 32 episodes rather than 24 episodes in the T.V. series.
