Two Large Problems

Post by Hamlet »

There are two huge problems which prevent this site from being the best that it can be...
The most obvious being the spam...
The moderators need to be able to just delete it...
No permission should be required to delete a thread that was made for flirting, or for deleting a poll which simply asks you if you're having a good or bad morning... Threads which are 100% pointless shouldn't be being made... A little spam is okay and can be fun, but the things which are just annoying and/or innapropriate need to be gotten rid of... (If a mod. were to ever delete something unrightfully, obviously the one who made whatever had been unrightfully deleted would be able to go and tell the rest of the staff... & That bad mod. could then get fired/demoted to regular membership...)

The second and biggest problem...
Is one which obviously the staff chooses to ignore because of their own habits and interests...
This forums board is basically PG, the majority of it's members are ages 15 and under...
It is both ammoral and illegal for their to be an adult section on this board...
& Posts with more immature of adult humour are innapropriate as well...
It doesn't matter if these kids get exposed to worst at school and/or home, you shouldn't condone in their being encouraged to think about such things at an early age...
Plus, if you've got this site wide open to perverts, and it's full of children, that's just asking for all kinds of trouble...

SPAM in not allowed on this site. The types of messages you describe are not SPAM, just pointless chit-chat, which is exactly why I created the Pointless Chit-Chat forum. When moderators see those posts in the wrong forum, they move them to the correct forum. I am the only one who should be deleting messages and threads. Moderators should just lock them and send me a message so I can decide what to do with it.

Where do I ever state that this forum is basically PG? If anything, it would be closer to PG-13, but those ratings are for movies, not websites, so they don't really apply here. Amoral, you say? All adult content on this site is clearly stated as such and cannot accidentally be accessed. Illegal? What law school do you go to? If I had to guess by what you wrote here, I would have say you're probably haven't even attended college. Are you even out of high school yet?

Perverts and child molesters are two different classifications. You are referring to child molesters, not just perverts. So lets see, on your forum profile there is no field to specify your real name, your address, your phone number, or your fax number. Yeah, I can definitely see how this place would make it soooo easy for child molesters to seek out new victims. Guess I should purchase that new high-tech software that stops Child Molesters from looking at my website... what's it called again... oh yeah, IMPOSSIBLE.

Well, hope that clears things up for you.

First off, you're an *ss...
Second off, you're an *ss...
& Third off, you're an idiot...
& These forums will obviously never improve, so I'm outta here...

& Yes, it is illegal, because you can't exactly card them at the door...
& I had displayed more maturity in that one post than has ever been displayed of either you or any of your poorly chosen moderators...
So, grow the f*ck up, and get a clue...

 I feel so embarrassed. You are absolutely right. How could I have not seen it before? You are definitely way more mature than I am. Please accept my apologies for acting so childish. I'd hate to see you leave, but if you still don't want to be a part of these forums anymore, there is a "Delete Account" button on your page where you edit your profile details. If you can't find it, just let me know and I can delete it through the control panel.

Before you take off and leave us forever, could you do us one small favor and tell me exactly which law this site is breaking? Is it a state law or federal law? Normally I wouldn't be concerned with such minor details, but this could be a serious safety hazard for the young'ens! If I just remove the adult content without quoting the law behind it, people might think I'm doing it just to be a jerk. I'm sure we'd all really appreciate it.

Thanks!

I agree with what's justified. who I agree with is obvious.

Taking sides does nothing, as this is over. :P

You guys and myself should have stayed out of this.

@Hamlet: You didn't choose a very good way to leave. Show some tact and maturity, all you did was embarass yourself.

I felt like a race horse in a world without racetracks or a champion college footballer suddenly confronted by Wall Street and a business suit, his days of glory shrunk to a little gold cup on his mantel with a date engraved on it like a tombstone.

Hamlet, I know that you probably will not see this, but I have read many of your posts, and I will say that it is apparent that you take a lot of time in order to provide deep and mature posts. Your first post was obviously well prepared, and it is fairly obvious that you took some time to write the list down. However, it is also apparent that your last post was only made out of spite, and in doing so, you contradicted yourself when you said that you showed more maturity then the Webmaster and the moderators. Because you’re ideas were rejected, you simply lashed out in anger, and in doing so, you have degraded yourself in the image of the posters on this forum. How exactly does swearing at the Webmaster and his mods make you more mature? And do you have the right to insult them? They have been working to make this site great and enjoyable for all the posters, and I support them 100 percent. The Webmaster has given clear reasons why he won't "fix" your problems, and I agree with his reasoning. Perhaps it is YOU who should grow the f*ck up, and get a clue, or better yet, learn to live with rejection. Judging by your other posts, I believe you could have easily wrote a follow up to further explain your reasoning, but instead you chose to leave, insulting the mods and the Webmaster in the process. Goodbye Hamlet, you won’t be missed…

Pocky Chick: "Webmaster's point was proven...”
- Made, yes. Proven, no. You are far from having the gist of the debate.

~Lenne~: "Im not sure who's side to take.....Hamlet is right, but so is webmaster........*sigh* I hate these kind of situations."
- Only one is right, and you likely know which, but don’t wish to admit it or say/type it, as you don’t wish to seem as though you’re being disrespectful.

#Emissary of Despair: "I agree with what's justified. who I agree with is obvious."
- That's left open for both sides, as we each believe ourselves to be justified.

Locke: "@Hamlet: You didn't choose a very good way to leave. Show some tact and maturity, all you did was embarass yourself."
- Why bother in being tactful when the opposition will be agreed with no matter what be said or what evidence be displayed? The average member of Absolute Anime is an all out follower, who spends much time kissing up. & The large majority of Absolute Anime's members and staff are cowards; they avoid true leadership, avoid possible trouble with higher authority, and in most cases avoid simple disputes between one another.
- Why should I respond with maturity to those who care not for it? And, as I state below I wasn't necessarily being immature.
- & Embarrassed? How so? I'm not in the slightest embarrassed about my "views," and definitely wouldn't consider expressing justified emotions something to regret.

Mai: "if you didnt want to get some answers then why did you make a thread about it? you said your self that there are so many pointless threads out here but yet you made a pointless one yourself"
- This thread is fairly far from pointless.
It isn't about getting answers; it's about bringing needed change, or at least creating what would be a warning to others.
A warning reading, "If you actually have a mind and a heart, go else where."

-:Đ.Ŕ.Ę.Ŧ.Ł.Ϊ.Ň:-: "WOOOOO, Hamlet got her ass kicked there!!!"
- Not possible.

& on to <Mobile_Turn_X>…

"Hamlet, I know that you probably will not see this…”
- If not for an email saying that someone PMed me yesterday, I would not have ever bothered in coming back. And, I easily could have just deleted that email and forgot about it, but I didn't know who the PM was from or what over.

"but I have read many of your posts, and I will say that it is apparent that you take a lot of time in order to provide deep and mature posts."
- And, was this board not in need of such? Kids make threads on this board asking for advice (only in hopes of receiving actual advice from someone who understands) and/or the outsiders’ view (only in hopes of the outsider being able to see the problem more clearly).

"Your first post was obviously well prepared, and it is fairly obvious that you took some time to write the list down. However, it is also apparent that your last post was only made out of spite, and in doing so, you contradicted yourself when you said that you showed more maturity then the Webmaster and the moderators."
- What I had said is, "& I had displayed more maturity in that one post than has ever been displayed of either you or any of your poorly chosen moderators..."
So, I had not contradicted myself; on the other hand, you did.

"Because you're ideas were rejected, you simply lashed out in anger, and in doing so, you have degraded yourself in the image of the posters on this forum."
- Only a fool would think that I have degraded the image others have of me by expressing a common emotion, and that was far from lashing out.
- And, it isn't rejection that’s the problem, and unless you turn to technicality, to this day I’ve yet to have been rejected in anything.

“How exactly does swearing at the Webmaster and his mods make you more mature?”
- Something commonly believed among fools whom mispresent themselves as being of higher wisdom, is that swearing is a sign of immaturity. On the contrary, it says absolutely nothing of maturity; whereas, having a problem with everyday language dubbed by “sheep” to be “cursing” displays naivety.

“And do you have the right to insult them? They have been working to make this site great and enjoyable for all the posters, and I support them 100 percent.”
- I’m experienced both in moderating and administration, they haven’t really put all that much effort in, and what effort they put in is generally not for the sake of ALL of the posters. Do you have any idea of how easy it is to move, lock, and delete threads and replies? The only real effort I’ve seen made to better this board is Ender’s fight on plagiarism.
- And, if you think this board is great, you may wanna go check out other forums boards, because this board, despite it's abnormally large number in members, royally sux. The only reasons why it's so popular is because the actual site (as opposed to it's forums) is useful, and it has real advertisement (something which the owner/s of many great sites can't afford).

“The Webmaster has given clear reasons why he won't "fix" your problems, and I agree with his reasoning.”
-Then, you’re a fool, but that has already been made clear by the rest of your reply, so why should I even bother typing it?

“learn to live with rejection.”
- My anger was over how annoyingly foolish so many of you are, not rejection. & I will likely never need to adapt to such a thing.

“Judging by your other posts, I believe you could have easily wrote a follow up to further explain your reasoning, but instead you chose to leave, insulting the mods and the Webmaster in the process.”
- Even as I made that apparently immature reply, I was making my reasoning fairly clear; you’re blind if you can’t see it.
- Now, you recognize that I was angry, but then insist that I could have easily wrote a proper follow up. Wow! Do you really have that little of understanding of yourself and those around you? People don’t generally act on rationality when angry, and even when they do, as I had, it gets dubbed wrong by such imposters as you.

“Goodbye Hamlet, you won’t be missed…"
- While stating the most obvious, you just showed, that your posting that reply was merely in spite.
- Did you think that would actually hurt me?
I believe I made it fairly clear in my behavior here that I didn’t care to be remembered, that I didn’t care to be liked, that I didn’t care to be looked up to. Likely, most my posts here were in correcting others, which I already knew while doing so, would make them think negatively of me; as for one, it embarrasses them; and for another, it bursts their bubble/s.
In one, maybe two, of my posts in these forums, I openly stated that I didn’t come here looking for friends, and didn’t at all expect such.
- And, you likely only posted that reply because you didn't expect me to see it. Hence, why you started it off with pointing out that I most likely wouldn't.

& <Mobile_Turn_X>, I reccomend that you drop the act, perhaps you have more knowledge than average, but you certainly lack wisdom.
To have a vast knowledge merely requires exceptional memory, where as to have great wisdom you must actually have a mind, which may or may not come with an exceptional memory.
Knowledge and wisdom are not even remotely close to being guaranteed to come hand-in-hand.

You make up for your constipation of logic and well thought out ideas with your diarrhoea of senseless insults and with your stupidity.

You just made a total ass of yourself. It's cool though, we're not surprised.

If that was to me, as it likely was...

"You make up for your constipation of logic and well thought out ideas with your diarrhoea of senseless insults and with your stupidity."
- You didn't even read it, did you? If you did, you've gotta be about the dumbest non-handicapped person I've ever come across, there's no way that my last post could be described as, "diarrhoea of senseless insults and with your stupidity."
& There's no possible way for anyone who's payed any attention to anything I've ever said to think of me as having, "constipation of logic and well thought out ideas."

"You just made a total ass of yourself. It's cool though, we're not surprised."
- Other way around.
