ok i was browsing random sites looking for animes to buy and i came across Last Exile. Um why are there like 7 disks for that series? do you have to get all 7 to get to watch all of it? sorry if i didnt make sense.

There are 26 1/2 hour episodes. There will be three or four per disc plus extra information aogbut the making of the series and trailers for other anime

Sounds like a good deal. Hope it's not a pirate. They pass 'em off as "imports" but they are really just pirated copies.

Its most likely a bootleg, check if it has chinese subtitles, thats a dead giveaway. I've checked that site before, their "imported" Zeta Gundam Boxset is the same 6 disc bootleg that I saw in a black market mall a week ago (it was being sold for $2 per disc). I was REALLY tempted to buy discountanimedvd's Metal Armor Dragonar boxset, when I realized that it was a bootleg. The transfer should be good quality though so you should be fine with your set Bun_ny, unless you are one of those guys that is completely against bootlegs. the Zeta Gundam set was very good quality, surprising considering that it had 9 episodes per disc.

If it's only on three discs, it's almost certainly a bootleg. I've seen them around. Using the typical "2-hour" quality of DVD Video (for the record, according to the standard, this rate can be adjusted to improve quality or squeeze more space), you can fit on the outside nearly 4 hours of video using a dual-layer DVD. At a little under 25 minutes for your average anime TV episode, this amounts to a top limit of 9 episodes per disc (the more frills you add, the less you can fit). A three-disc set would probably run 9-9-8.

i was on a site a few days ago and came across last exile all on one disk. i didnt think that it could all fit but in the info thingy it said 1 disk= 680 (or something like that) minutes..
