I'm agree with Miroku25 , my favorite girl character is sango because she can fight for herself, kagome doesn't do anything, inuyasha always has to protect her.

Kagura follows close behind. I just recently became a fan of hers

I think he keeps her around because she was so nice to him when he was injured. He's become like a father to her despite the act he puts on for others.
