After I've heard some people complain about the dub of Hellsing, at the same time that I hear other people praise its high quality, I've decided that a little informal survey was in order.
Now, I personally thought the dub was very well done, particularly due to the fact that they chose a lot of people with British accents for the dub (which only made sense, since the series took place in England). Now, Alucard didn't have an accent, but then again, he wasn't really a Brit.

re: Did you like the dub?
Ya I like the dubbed version of Hellsing a lot n.n. Crispin Freeman actually did a really good job with Alucard, even better then the Japanese Seiyuu, which I thought didnt fit him like the manga makes him seem. Crispin Freeman also became my favorite voice actor after his preformance with Alucard. The only voice actor in the dubbed verion that I had a problem with was Seras's. But in that case it was more of a Im-not-used-to-this-character-yet-but-Ill-get-better-once-I-get-into-this kind of thing, which did happen towards the middle of the series, and I ended up liking her as Seras ^ ^
And even though Alucard didnt have the accent, it makes sense, because like you said hes not British, plus if you read the manga closely, theres no accent marks for him which you find for people like Integra, Seras, Pip, and Anderson plus the other characters who have the accents.

I liked the dub. The only thing that bothered me were the accents...they seemed out of place in a anime, but then again the story took place in Britian. Other than that I thought the voice's were on the mark to fit the characters personalities. It just took a bit of getting used too...like Kou Akabane said, I ended up liking the voices I first thought weren't the best choice.
Doesn't matter...the show's awesome any way you look at it ^ ^

It was ok I guess but I usually use japanese. Its alot better. But I have watched the entire Hellsing anime with english dub so I guess it was acceptable.
