I'm starting to be a little disapointed...

I mean, more than half of the stuff I see going on around here is "Oh! I love (subject A)" "(subject B) is so cute", "(subject C) kicks (subject D)'s a§§ anytime... pointless... no real talk, discussion, or posted opinions on any subject whatsoever...

I've opened up a post 19 days ago with some questions, and had absolutely no reply and only 2 views... and even these were mine!!!

Excluding mods/admins that are too busy taking care of the forum and simply don't have the time to write, and some other obvious users (you know who you are...), I get the feeling that there are only kids here, that don't even know who Masamune Shirow or Katsuhiro Otomo are, and never seen Ninja Scroll, Golgo 13, Wicked City, Trigun, Cowboy Bebop, Evangelion...
The only stuff they know is that Goku's Super Sayan 4 level has 8 or 9 gazillion power points, and triples or quadruples when he fuses with Vegeta...

Sorry for this, but i'm really getting frustrated, not to mention annoyed to see the same thing over and over again...

Jubei Kibagami absolutely kicks arse, almost as much as this site does. Kagero is a babe. That obviously says I've seen Ninja Scroll and if you want i can talk about it with you in a different discussion.

I haven't seen Golgo 13, Wicked City, or Trigun but I'll try if I'm interested in them. After I've seen what they're about.

If you go to the specific anime forums I'm sure you'll find people who know about those animes.

I've been here for ages and I tell you, there are some serious otakus around here.
Lots of people like Trigun, Cowboy Bebop, and Evangelion here.

I've only seen a couple episodes of Cowboy Bebop. I think my brother (Locke) has seen a lot of them.

Well, they are opinions I think what your looking for is arguements. Where people actually support their view.
And i see exactly where your coming from, and we mods and webmaster all try along with others.

Well this is one of the smaller anime forums out on the net. On the bright side it does have information on many of the anime series and is constantly being updated.

If you want something lively here, you're going to have to put you brain in gear and think of a good topic for every one to respond to.

These are not questions that can be answered by looking in the profiles. I've seen the show and these are questions that remained unanswered, or at least I didn't get them (RahXephon is a "little" confusing...)

I haven't seen Golgo 13, Wicked City, or Trigun but I'll try if I'm interested in them. After I've seen what they're about.

You should see them if you have the chance, they are pretty good... The first two I mentioned are movies, Trigun is a classic-26-eps-long show. One of the best animes of all time and one of my personal favourite, along with Evangelion, Cowboy Bebop and Ghost in the Shell.

Unfortunately, there isn't a lot we can do. We have a forum for proper discussions [non-anime related] and what do we get?

We often get specific anime threads in this forum too....and the ones that arent, are almost always the type you mentioned...and/or (most frequently "and") repeats.

Sorry for this, but i'm really getting frustrated, not to mention annoyed to see the same thing over and over again...

I am fed up too, but long past disappointed. It is frustrating being a mod, because quite a large number of threads are posted in incorrect sections. I have moved hundreds of specific threads...nonsense threads from here...The only time people seem to post a thread in the right spot is spam forum -_______________-

And people ignore advice, the stickies i make... directions on where to post what and what's appropriate yada yada yah, fall of deaf ears...or blind eyes.

But, AA is ok, i guess. And it has the capacity to be great. We just have to work together and ignore stupid people...

I think that we could make the forum...cater, if you will, for everybody. The majority of people here like spamming and stuff, and granted it can be fun.....but their could be a more mature side to AA. Not sex. But serious discussion. If we re-name the off-topic discussions section, we will consequently have more meaningful debates and discussions, and also attract a wider range of members. Although we have enough XD.

Thats all i can think of at the moment, but i will put my head to it and see what i can come up with.

This is one of the easier forums to navigate through. Although it's easy to loose a thread because some one posts spam and anything that's good ends up shuffled to the bottom and eventually off the first page.

How much bandwidth would it take for a thread that gets a responce to move right back to the top? Maybe some of the good threads won't get buried by useless spam then.

Instead of asking for favorites, there should be reasons for that answer. But it's hard to get some people to answer "I like so and so why?" They'll just say because he's kewl. There has to be more to it than that. We could have a minimum number of letters in a post to force them to say more, but that might be aggrevating.

A question I would like to know now that I think about it. We have forums for specific anime series. And a forum for other anime series. Exactly what is this forum for now? Shouldn't any series that doesn't have it's own forum be talked about in here?

Also some people need to learn how to use the search features.

I to must admit that this forum is disspointing me when I saw that there was off topic disscussions I was happy to hear that there would be non anime related disscusions but they rarely appear and other adult topics is being completly killed by the "sex" threads and we have a place for that to. I have seen the entire evangelion seris and death and rebirth I have unfourtantly only seen the movie of cowboy beepop and only a few episodes of trigun and I never saw either of those movies I'd be renting them if I wasnt busy watching the ghost in the shell the stand alone complex which is one of my favorite anime and luckily its coming out so I can stop renting it and start renting anime that I cant see cause I dont have adult swim or cartoon network(curses)so I can rent anime like ninja scroll and all I have to do is rent it while my friend's aunt is there otherwise i'm not old enough to rent it legally by myself unfoutantly(double curses) you just gotta bear with it.
