i have a

since there isn't an "L" pronuciation in jap. they replace it w/ an "R", right? so then, i'm listening to my jap. music and i have the lyrics in front of me. but when the singer actually sings a word w/ a letter "R" in it, sounds like she's singing it w/ and "L", not an "R".

ex: Uruwashiku...(4got her name), it sounds like she's saying 'uluwashiku' instead of w/ and "R". wat's up w/ that?

if you've ever spoken another language in school where you've been required to "flip" your r's then ul understand what im talking about:

in japanese l and r make nearly the same sound. i read in an article once that elders apparently have trouble telling it appart while young ppl dont [in japan] but whatever.
so when u "flip ur r's" it kinda comes out sounding like "hra" and when u flip ur l's it sounds like "lah" and then when u pronounce the sound in any random work and you're speaking at a normal pace, the two sounds come out very simmilarly

What you said sounds OK in Japanese, but I would say "doushite o namae wo hanasemasuka"
"どうしてお名前を話せますか"

Although they both kinda sound a bit odd.
