Something I had to write for school a few years ago. We were studying Shakespears' sonnets.

Dark Heart

I cast a dark shadow over the land
Ravens fly across the darkening skies
Blood of the people soaks the tawny sand
My lust for vice and sin shall never die
A body of fire and a heart of ice
Wicked thoughts; misguided soul and mind
Only the world’s destruction will suffice
So I leave my human body behind
To dance with the demons from my private Hell
I will break the chains of diversity
To break the shackles my soul I will sell
And be free of dependency
When mankind receives its final trial
I will look down from a red sky and smile

i hate it how i have to wait to go to my aunts house to go online but my mom says that im gonna get the internet again when im in junior high but i still hate to wait its gonna be about 6 or 7 months
well, heres another poem. wrote when i was supposed to be sleeping, at about 11:30, i couldnt sleep so i wrote this

Finding Love
"I loved you...
But you didn't love me back...
I gave you signs of how I felt...
But...you were clueless, nonetheless,
To be young and clueless and without a care,
How I yearn for those days,
Maybe it's my fault for falling for one so young,
So naive,
But...I couldn't help it,
I told you how I felt with the slip of the toung,
You just thought I was joking,
And I wish that I was choking,
For I might as well be,
The one I love ignores me,
The one I love doesn't take me seriously,
The one I love is with another,
And no, it's not his Mother...
It's another...
One far prettier than I could ever be,
One far smarter than I could ever be,
Though she is both older than you and I,
I can see that you two were meant to be,
I cry deeply,
I sigh deeply,
I sometimes ask myself: 'Why do you love her and not me?!'
I would do simply anything for you,
Anything!!
But all you do is ignore me...

Days have past since you two,
I realize that there was someone here that I loved all along,
You are gone,
Gone from me,
But thankfully, I don't wish to be with you anymore,
I want him,
But I don't know how he feels of me,
But I do know that I care for him deeply,
And that's a good thing,
A very good thing,
As long as my heart is not broken yet again.

I loved you,
I thought you felt the same,
My heart always skipped a beat whenever I heard your name,
But no longer am I that way,
And that is blissful,
But I hope it works out with my other,
I hope he feels the same,
I truly do,
He's so funny,

Sometimes I fall into a deep daze when I'm around him,
And I have somehow managed to keep it all a secret,
I really hope that he feels the same,
For I don't think my heart could love another,
I want someone to be able to hold for the rest of my life,
That is what I wish,
So I don't care that you're with another any more,
My heart has decided, and it's not you,
But...I'll see you tomorrow,
Best wishes, and please, don't call me tears of sorrow,

Young Love
"I actually thought it was love,
But it was just a crush,
He was far beyond my years,
I was too young to understand his reason for tears,
I mean, he was nearly the age of my elder brother,
And besides, he had another,
He had others,
But sometimes I wonder if we were the same age,
Would it work out?
Or would I be stuck in a cage,
A cage of misery?
You never know,
I was too young to see,
Why you didn't want to be with me,
I know now,
I'm just a friend to you,
And you just expected me to go play with toys,
And make lots of noise,
You know, the usual kid crap,
How I was foolish back then,
No longer am I now,
Great,
I was so childish back then,
It's a wonder you even wanted to be friends,
Well, in the end,
I know that you got my back,
Cause we're friends,
Friends to the end,
I hope...
I hope we'll always be friends,
I know that's all I could ever be to you,
But I'm still happy as long as I'm near you,
Until the end,

My True Feelings

I might've used that line a lot in the past,
But they were nothing compared to you,

Like the title says, this poem expresses my true feelings for this guy I really like in my class. Though I don't think it's actually love, but I know that I really, REALLY like him a lot. And the other girl is my friend Katie, she likes him too, but she doesn't that I like him, and I've bored you enough about my life. So tell me what you thought about this poem.

Dare I say, here's a poem that doesn't creep people out! A lighter side of my mind. Funny, most of my poems are romantic.

My light

What have I been searching for all this time?
Why have I continued living in this dark world?
For so long I have searched, searched for someone to give me hope
Someone to hold me tight on cold nights
I searched for so long, almost giving into the pain
Could it be that there is no escape from this darkness that plagues me?
Yet one day I found you, a person who I can trust
One who will love me for who I am
A virtuous youth, honorable, noble and pure
A warrior of compassion, a fighter for peace
