That finds this anime over-rated?? I mean it's good but the best ever?? I mean it's a bunch of angst and even though people claim it's hard to get it's really just as simple as any show. Action is good and it's okay (worth the watch) but really really over-hyped. I am probably the only one though, and that's okay to each their own

Moreover, it has a great esoteric background, with nothing satanic. All taken from the ancient jewish tradition.

I didn't disagree with you that it's orginal, it is but that alone is not enough to sell me. And NGE isn't the only angsty anime that I dislike, Saikano I hate for the very same reason. I did find it good but it's like this thing in America (even in mags) that it's the best ever and I just don't buy it.

Okay then I stand by what I said he's a moron and should shut up. If he is going to spend the rest of his life expecting everyone to love the same thing as him then he will be sad and lonely by the time he grows up (if he can).

Stop the arguing folks, this is an anime we are talking about, now who is a dumbass...

Eva is, IMO, fantastic. It plays with powerful themes and symbolism. The difficulty of youth is portrayed well. Eva kind of sets the standard; memorable characters, amazing animation, wonderful story.

My ONLY problem is that the ending, if you do not know the series well or do not analyze it, can be very confusing and a pain to watch and understand. I've understood the ending, but if I show this to my friends, they're like "WTF is going on???" That is my only slight problem.
