Being a kinda part of the business world, I can tell you that 4kids
will most likely not be getting their hands on Naruto. Although they
have already taken Shonen Jump blockbusters ONe Piece and Shaman King.
Simply, put... 4kids probably does not have enough resources to do
Naruto at this point in time, giving several other companies who seem
to have been holding back to throw in all their chips into the Naruto
series. With the end of DBZ and over half of Yu Yu Hakusho completed,
Funimation will most likely get their hands on the lovable ninja - and
that would not be bad at all. Funimation is one of the few licensers
in america that licenses large anime series's... unlike several other
companies such as ADV who thrive on short 20-50 episode series,
Funimation has been known to license very large animes and offer UNCUT
versions of them. Taking Shaman King and One Piece was a terrible
mistake on the part of 4kids... because their terrible dubbing and
reputation amonst anime lovers have made the ratings for those two
shows DROP tremendously. If Naruto is licensed into America by 4kids,
4kids may see a similar drop. There are over 10000 people who dl
Naruto or watch it everyday, if 4kids adopts the show, they are out
10000 people to watch it because of animosity towards them. 4kids's
shows such as pokemon and yu gi oh are losing steam and although they
are huge moneymakers, their other adopted shows are burning up.
If they do somehow get their hands on Naruto, Naruto will most likely
also experience a drop in popularity in the U.S. They have no good
"gimmick" for this type of show. The show is not based on collectable
items, 4kids's standard moneymaking technique. There will be no 500
pokemon figures or cards, or several yu gi oh cards straight from the
show. There IS a naruto card game however, but... fighting anime shows
such as DBZ and Yu Yu hakusho both have card games which don't nearly
make as much money as Yu gi oh.
Chi's analysis: 4kids has everything to lose and nothing to gain from
licensing Naruto... the cost will exceed the benefit and they are
already using their resources alot! Funimation will most likely be
getting their hands on Naruto if they try hard enough and I suggest
that most naruto fans support funimation because they are the only
other company that can possibly stop 4kids from getting Naruto.
Funimation also started out Yu Yu Hakusho as uncut and has remained
true to its standards. Names were not changed, attack names were just
accurately translated(for the most part), and the voice actors were
not as bad as 4kids.
Also, interestingly enough... the prime time for funimation to act on
licensing Naruto is NOW, before 4kids can build up more resources to
license it. So interestingly enough... the whining Naruto fans about
Naruto getting licensed should hope that it gets licensed now while a
GOOD company can get at it easily.
Note: This is just an observation, however, 4kids is extremely deadly.
It still has plenty of resources at its disposal. Funimation unlike
4kids has neglected licensing EVERY series in existance tha they can
get, and it seems that they are doing so to wait for Naruto. Hopefully
funimation will get it before 4kids gets their dirty corruptive hands
on it.

hmm...if funimation gets naruto i think it might be pretty good..BUT the dreaded 4kids has already taken over the foxbox and are sucking in some of the best anime such as one piece and turning it into childs stuff....anime is meant to stay as it was made...and there for i am contacting 4kids ent. to find out whatever i can...if i find anything out i will be sure to post it here...

Yes, but I mean, you have to agree with me, it was only a matter of time before they did take over. Every show on there is produced by 4kids. Now they just have a better chance to advertize their name. (Sadly)
